Hello, everyone. My name is Alex Riggs, and I’m at Scottsdale National. In my hands, I have the 0311 ST GEN4. I’ve been so excited to see this new model and, today, I finally get to test it out.
So, the first thing that you’re going to notice in this new ST lineup is this small cutout in the 3-, 4- and 5-iron. Now, what that allows them to do is take a little bit of mass out of that top side of the golf club and increase the forgiveness in those long irons. We want to hit those long irons high, get them to land soft, and this will help you with that.
What you can expect with the ST lineup is a golf club that is more suitable for the more advanced player. This golf club has a thinner top line. It’s got virtually no offset, which has really that tour-inspired, shaped design.
It’s going to give you a smaller sole, which will improve turf interaction and really help you to cut through those divots. It’s a golf club that’s going to provide slightly lower MOI, which means the golf club can give you more shaping ability. So, if you’re looking to shape those balls left to right, right to left, this is the golf club that you want to test.
You’ll notice a difference in the perimeter weighting in this new GEN4. They’ve gone with a singular, larger weight here that really is adjustable in the fitting process. You’ll also see the milling, and the milling is gorgeous. This is the signature of that ST 0311. Now, this allows them to take weight out of the head and put it exactly where it needs to be. Now, it’s time for me to give these a hit.
That is the softest feeling head you will ever find. I love that. So, for anybody looking for a golf club that gives you the best feeling in the game with really great workability, this is the iron you need to try.
