HOW TO HIT THIS SHOT:
- Use a high degree wedge (58° or 60°)
- Place the ball near your front foot
- Keep most of your weight on your front leg throughout the swing
- Have the clubface slightly open at impact
- Keep holding the clubface open through impact
EXTRA TIPS FOR BETTER TECHNIQUE IN YOUR APPROACH SHOTS:
- Preset/establish your weight before making a swing (this can be used in all swing types)
- Align your sternum and nose a couple of inches in front of the ball
- Keep weight placement and alignment throughout the swing
- Build an understanding of how much spin and rollout your chip shots usually produce; this will help a golfer comprehend their short game tendencies
