WHAT IS CASHMERE?
At PXG our cashmere apparel is sustainably produced from the super-soft undercoat of the cashmere goat found in the Himalayas. Supply is very limited, and, due to the delicate nature of the fibers, this luxurious wool must be treated with great care throughout the harvesting process.

Not all cashmere is created equally. At PXG our cashmere is sustainability produced with the Good Cashmere Standard® meaning the factory adheres to the Five Freedoms as defined by the Farm Animal Welfare Council – no animal be subjected to hunger, thirst, discomfort, pain, injury, or disease. The standard is regularly reviewed based on findings from the audit process as well as scientific information.
Not to mention, investing in higher-quality pieces cuts down on water and consumption simply because it is made to last.
HOW TO CARE FOR CASHMERE PROPERLY
DO NOT MACHINE WASH
Cashmere should be dry cleaned or hand washed with COLD water. Be sure to use mild detergent and a limited amount. The fibers are fragile when wet and washing machines can put too much stress on the garments causing them to stretch or lose their shape.
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER
Cashmere becomes softer overtime. Using chemical softeners to speed up this process will damage the cashmere and decreases its lifespan.
DO NOT PUT CASHMERE IN A DRYER
Let air dry to best preserve its fibers.
DON’T WASH TOO OFTEN
Since cashmere is breathable, if you wear it throughout the day without any spills or stains, you can hang it up and wear it again. It will remain fresh for another outfit without needing additional washing.
